Annual Town Meeting

Held at the Town Hall of South Grove, Ill April 7, 1903.

G. M. Tindall chosen Moderator motion made and carried that $250.00 be raised for town purposes divided as follows 225 [sic] for payment of Town Officers 25.00 for contingent and other legal expenses.

Motion made and seconed [sic] that the board of Auditors be requested to levy a special tax of one thousand dollars for road purposes. Motion carried

The following is the result of a canvass of the vote [sic] cast

W. G. McKenzie received Eighteen votes for Town Clerk

J. T. Byers received Eighteen votes for Assessor

Walter Gibson received Eighteen votes for Collector

William Masterson received Eighteen votes for Commissioner of Highways

Daniel McMurchy received Eighteen votes for Trustee of Schools

Matt Coffey received Eighteen votes for Constable to fill Vacancy

Robert McKenzie received Eighteen votes for Constable to fill Vacancy
