Annual Town Meeting

Held at the Town Hall in South Grove Ill April 7 1908.

Henry Decker appointed moderator. Reports of Supervisor and Commissioner of Highways read an approved.

Motion made and seconed [seconded] that one hundred dollars be raised for Town Tax. Motion carried.

Motion made and seconed [seconded] that Morris Casey be appointed thistle commissioner for the town of South Grove. Motion carried.

The following is the result of the canvass of the ballots

M. McMurchy received Eighty votes Supervisor

W. G. McKenzie received Eight votes for Town Clerk

E. L. Becker received seventy nine votes for Assessor

Frank Barnes received Eight one votes for Collector

H. Decker received seventy nine for Commissioner

J. A. Dooley received seventy eight votes for Justice of the Peace

J. W. Schnee received seventy nine votes for Justice of the Peace

E. S. Bowman recd Seventy eight votes for Constable

J. Brenan received Seventy nine votes for Constable

F. M. Worden recd seventy nine votes for School Trustee

Shall this town become Anti Saloon Territory received Sixty seven votes for Yes and nineteen votes for No.
