Copy of Contract Continental Bridge Co Contract

Articles of agreement, made and concluded this 28th day of January, A. D. 1908, by and between the Continental Bridge Co., of Chicago, County of Cook, State of Illinois, party of the first part and town of South Grove by Highway Commissioners of said town All of the County of DeKalb and state of Illinois Party of the Second part.

Witness that for and in consideration of payments hereinafter mentioned to be made by the party of the second part, the party of the first part hereby consents and agrees to furnish all materials and construct in good workmanlike manner, and in accordance with the specification attached which one hereby made a part of the third contract.

One bridge 6 x 16 x 4 legs (no wings)

One bridge 4 x 16 x 6 legs 4 wings

One bridge 12 x 16 x 9 legs 4 wings

One bridge 8 x 16 x 4 legs 4 wings

And repair the Coles Bridge as at per specifications

Build additional Wing to Byers Bridge “

And furnish 4 steel culverst [culverts] delivered at Esmond Ill. And set the culvers [culverts] and put on concrite [concrete] heads and to be completed ready for travel , on or before the 1st day of July A.D. 1908 and the party of the 2nd part to do their own grading and approaches.
