Town Records of DeKalb Ill

Town 40 north of range 4 east of the third principal meridian running thence north on the section line 79 chains & 80 rods to the corner of section 22, 23, 26 & 27 thence north on section line 6 chains and 81 links to a point where a continuation of 4th street in the Village of DeKalb intersects said sect line said road to be laid 4 rods wide and passing over lands owned by David Chamberlain, Joseph Barber, J. & F. Farmer & Russel Huntley according to said survey and plot thence annexed and made part of the same order where is hereby declared to be a public highway the above described line to be the center thereof.

In writings whereof we the said commissioners have hereto set our hand this 22nd day of September A. D. 1857.

By order of the road commissioners of the town of DeKalb county of DeKalb and state of Illinois I have surveyed a route which is described as follows to wit, commencing at the south west corner of sect 26 and the south east corner of section 27 in town 40 of range 4 east of the 3rd principle meridian running thence north on the section line 79 chains and 80 links to the corner of section 22, 23, 26 & 27 thence north to section line 6 chains & 89 links to a point where a continuation of 4th street in the Village of DeKalb intersects said section line to be 4 rods wide and passing over lands owned by David Chandler, Joseph Barber, J & F. Farmer and Russel Huntley see plot.
