line between township 40, 40 north of range 3 and 4 east of the 3rd principal meridian and running thence N 80C E 28 chains 57 links to the line between section 18 & 19 in town N of range 4 east thence on said line 200 chains to the corner of sections 17, 18 19, 20 thence east 15 chains w23 links to a stone in the old Phelps Road said route to be laid rout rods wide and passing over land owned by Dr. Hopkins, Erastus Clark, Foster Wright and others according to said survey and plat hereunto annexed and made a part of this order which is declared to be a public highway four rods wide the above described line being the center thereof;

In witness whereof we the said commissioners have hereunto set our lands this 24th day of June A.D. 1858

By order of the commissioners of the town of DeKalb in the county of DeKalb and State of Illinois I have surveyed a road as follows to wit, beginning at the corners of section 13 & 24 on the range line between township 40 north of range 5 & 4 east of the third principal meridian and running thence N 88 E 28 chains and 57 links to the line between sections 18 & 19 in town 40 N of range 4 east thence east on said line 40 chains to the corner of sections 17, 18, 19, 20 thence east 15 chains 23 links to a stone in the old Phelps road said road is to be laid 4 rods wide and passing over land owned by Dr. Hopkins, Erastus Clark, Foster Wright and others see plat V6 ¾ E.
