Town Records of DeKalb Ill page 350, 1867

At an election and town meeting held at the Eagle Hotel in the town of DeKalb in the county DeKalb and state of Illinois on the 2nd day of April 1867 the following named persons received the number of votes annexed to their respective names for the following described offices to wit

J. F. Glidden received four hundred and thirty five (435) votes for Supervisor

Timothy Richardson received thirty nine (39) votes for Supervisor

E. A. Porter received four hundred and sixty seven (467) votes for Town Clerk

Ira Penny received four hundred and sixty nine votes for Assessor

B. P. Bemis received two hundred and ninety votes for Collector

Silas Tappan received one hundred and thirty one votes for Collector

A.H. Cartwright received three hundred and eighty four votes for Constable

Lucian Burr received two hundred and fifty two votes for Commissioner of Highway

Wm. Fuller received two hundred and twenty two votes for Commissioner of Highway

Wm. Tappan received four hundred and sixth six votes for Overseer of the Poor

Jay Fowler received Seventy (70) votes for Constable

Against relocation of county seat at Sycamore and Sandwich four hundred and seventy one votes

For relocation of the county seat at Sycamore and Sandwich three hundred votes
