and running straight to an angle in the Brush Point road near Jesses Alden’s house, the same to be an alteration of the Brush Point Road commencing at the said angle in the road near Jesse Alden’s thence S 57.10E Inc 1300 thence S. 24. 45. E Inc 1220 thence S 7, 45, E 1000 Inc in the center of the road as the same is now travelled to the old state road leading from Phineas Stevens to and westerly by C. S Colton and the said county survey on under our direction the new route for the said road as follows, commencing at a placed quarry stone 14.4.4 + in the center of the road at the angle in the said road in front of Jesse Alden’s house thence S 10.30 E Inc 2042 placed quarry stone and thence same course 20.00 to ctr of Brush Point Road about 2.75 S of the old state road.

And we the Commissioners being of the opinion that said newly surveyed road is necessary and proper and that the public interest will be promoted by the laying out on relocating of the road as above described it is hereby ordered and determined that a road be and the same is hereby laid out and established according to the above described survey four road wide according to the plat and survey hereunto annexed which is declared to be a public highway, the above describe line being the center of the road, and we do hereby declare that so much of the old road commencing at a point in the beaten tact of the travelled road running from Phineas Stevens to and mostly  by  Calvin S. Colton’s (the point is near said Colton’s house where the two roads intersect) thence northerly toward Jesse Alden’s house to a point or angle in said Brush Point Road where the new surveyed road commences be new and forever vacated as a public highway the lands throughwhich the new surveyed road passes are Jesse Alden’s, Spafford Smith, Calvin S. Colton and Wm. Hubbard of which Jesse Alden have Spafford Smith have give a release for all damages sustained by there and we do hereby allow Calvin S. Colton for his damages two hund and fifty ($250) dollars and Wm. Hubbard for his damages five (5) dollars.

In witness hereof the said commissioners have hereunto subscribed their names this 7th day of December A.D. 1867
