To the commissioners of highways of the town of DeKalb Ills, the undersigned having been employed by you to make a survey of a road on Sec two (2) $t.40N.R.4E of the 3rd P.M. commencing at or near the house of Wm. Hubbard’s and running straight to an angle in the Brush Point road near Jesse Alden’s house the same to be an alteration of the Brush Point road commencing at the said angle in said road near Jesse Alden’s thence S 5 ft 10 E.  PerC3.00 thence S. 24.45E PerC 12.20 thence S 7.45.E.11.00 PerC

In the center of the road as the same is now travelled to the old State Road leading from Phineas Stephens to and westerly by C. S. Colton’s would report that the following is a correct survey thereof as made by me under your direction to wit commencing at a placed quarry stone 14.5.4+ in the centre of the road at the angle in the said road in front of Jesse Alden’s house thence S.10.30 E PerC 20.42 placed quarry stone and thence same course 10.00 to ctr of Brush Point Road about 2.75 S of the old State Road and thus the annexed plat is a true representation of said road according to said survey.
