and a half to the centre of section twenty seven (27) township forty (40) range four (4) east of the 3rd principal meridian, thence east by said survey line twelve rods, thence east one degree one degree south by compass four hundred and twenty rods (420) to a stake, thence east twenty degrees north by compass (396) rods, 18L three hundred and ninety six rods and eighteen links to a stake on the town line 19 rods and 6 links north of the gr section corner on the centre of east line of section twenty five (25) township forty (40) north range (4) four east of the 3rd principal meridian and the undersigned being of opinion that it is necessary and proper that such road be laid out, it is therefore ordered that a road four rods wide be located and laid out and the same is located and laid out according to said survey and the same is hereby declared to be a publick highway; Given under our hands and seals at Orange this 27th day of August 1850

The undersigned commissioners of highways for the town of DeKalb in the county of DeKalb on the application of Alanzo Coverse, Silvester Taylor, B. C. Needham and Gideon E. Wolcott, persons liable to be assessed for highway labor in said town did on the fourth day of January inst. cause a survey to be made of the following route to wit; commencing at the north west corner of section three (3) thence south on the survey line dividing the sections three (3) from four (4) and nine (9) from ten (10) until it intersects the road running south (on the same line) by the dwelling of Mr. Browns and Shurburns being the same route mentioned in the application of the said Alanzo Converse, Silvester Taylor, B. C. Needham and Gideon E. Wolcott which survey is as follows to wit; commencing at the north east corner of section 4 in township 40 range 4 running south on survey line to the N. E. corner of the school section in township 40 one mile 318 rods and the undersigned being of opinion that it is necessary and proper that such road be laid out it is therefore ordered
