Town of South Grove

To wit

Be it remembered that on the 20th day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty three

We the commissioners of highways in and for the town aforesaid convene for the purpose of taking into consideration a memorial for laying out a new road in said town the same to commence at the west section corner bisecting section 30 and 31 and thence run east on the section line to a certain road running north and south in said township.

Therefore in pursuance of the statute in that case made and provided having viewed the premises and obtained a survey & plat of the same form a competent surveyor delineating said road commencing at the west section corner bisecting sections 30 and31 running east on section line through the land of Willard Rand &J. H. Graves twenty one chains and twenty links. The said road to be four rods wide as prescribed by the statute. We are of opinion the road thus located is essential for public convenience and do award unto the said Willard Rand as a compensation for damages he will sustain for land appropriated to such highway the sum of fifteen dollars and do by these present establish confirm and ratify the said highway to be a public highway within the said town of South Grove in the said county aforesaid.
