and determined to lay out the said road. We did on the thirtieth day of June A. D. 1866 cause a survey thereof to be made by a competent Surveyor under our directions as follows to wit: beginning at the half section corner between section twenty and seventeen, thence north through the lands of Wm. T. Adee and Aaron Mowers twenty chains, thence north through the lands of N. D. Fetterly and Aaron Mowers twenty chains, thence north through the lands of George Newell and S. Newell forty chains, thence north through the lands of Henry Cristman thirty four chains and sixty six links. And we the said Commissioners agree to award unto the said Henry Cristman the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars and Aaron Mowers seventy five dollars also to Wm. T. Adee fifty dollars for and in consideration of the damages they will sustain through laying out said road and that herein to attached is a correct copy of a plat of said road according to said survey made by Mr. John H. P. Jones a competent Surveyor of DeKalb County.

It is therefore ordered and determined that the said road be and is hereby a Public Highway of the width of four rods according to said survey and the plat hereunto annexed and made part of this order, which is hereby declared to be a Public Highway and ratified as such by us the said Commissioners the line of such survey being the center of said road.

In witness whereof the said Commissioners have hereunto set our hands this 30th day of June A.D. 1866.
