Whereas was lain out on the 26th day of June A. D. 1868 by Geo Gillis John H Patton commissioners of Highways of the town of South Grove and county of DeKalb on the application of a requisite number of legal Voters residing within three miles of said road as follows beginning at the section Corner between Sections 19 & 30 thence east on the same 80 rods to the N & S road on same Sections which road passed though [sic] the lands of Augustus Dettmer being Known a [sic] Described as follows the W ½ of S. W. of Section 19 Township 41. R. E of 3rd P. M. and the lands of being known and Described as follows the W ½ of the N. W ¼ of Secton [sic]30 T 41. R. 3 E of 3rd P. M. now therefore know all men by these presents that is agreed between said commissioners and said Agustus [sic] & Andrew Jackson that the said damages sustained by the said Augustus Dettmer& Andrew Jackson by reason of the laying out and opening of said road upon their lands hereinbefore Descibed be liquadated [sic] & agreed upon at $35.00 to each one separately in witness Whereof the said Commissioners and the said Agustas [sic] Dettmer& Andrew Jackson have hereunto subscribed their names the 26th day of June a. D. 1868
