Petition to Lay Out Road.
To the Highway Commissioners of the Town of South Grove and Mayfield, in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois.
The undersigned, being legal land owners and residing in the above named town of South Grove, and within two miles of the route hereinafter mentioned and described, do hereby petition you to lay out a new a new [sic] road of the width of forty (40) feet as follows:
Commencing at or near a point forty (40) rods east of the west line and eighty (80) rods south of the north line of section twelve (12) township forty-one (41) north, range three (3) east of the Third Principal Meridian (being the town of South Grove) in DeKalb County, Illinois, and running thence easterly parallel to the north line of said section to the dividing line between the towns of South Grove and Mayfield to a point eighty (80) rods south of the north line of Section seven (7) of the said town of Mayfield, thence easterly parallel with the north line of said section (7) of said town of Mayfield intersecting said road at a point eighty rods south of the north line of said section seven (7) in said town of Mayfield in county and State aforesaid.
The owners of the land over which said road will pass are James Byers, William Byers, William H Crill, Agusta M. Glawe, Elmer Harold Glawe, Ethel Gertrude [sic], Eunice Mary Glawe, Ralph Howard Glawe, being widow and heirs respectively of John J. Glawe, deceased [continued on next page]
