3rd (cont.) Beginning at a point on the North and South Center line of Section Seven (7) of said Township which is about forty (40) rods North of the center of said Section and running thence South-easterly thru Sections Seven (7), Eight (8), Nine (9), Ten (10) and Fifteen (15) to the abutting North and South highway about forty (40) rods East of the North and South Center line of said Section Fifteen (15), a distance of Three and One-quarter (3 ¼) miles more or less.

Annual Auditing Meeting Sept. 6, 1921
The meeting was held in the Esmond State Bank. Bills were presented, audited and ordered paid for which orders were issued as per record on file.
The Highway Commissioner of the Township of So. Grove State of Ill. hereby certifies that at a regular meeting of said Comm. Held on the first Tuesday of Sept. in the year A. D. 1921, to wit: on the 6th day of Sept. A. D. 1921 at the office of the Town Clerk for the purpose of determining the tax rate for Bridge and Road purposed to be certified by him to the Co. Board as provided by law, has determined that the rate of tax necessary to be levied upon all the taxable property of the said Township of So. Grove, for said purposes sall [shall] be Fifty (50) cents on each One Hundred Dollars valuation as assessed and equalized for the year A. D. 1921.
The said Comm. of Highways does hereby further certify that at a regular annual meeting held at the office of the Town Clerk on the first Tues. (being the 6th day of Sept. A. D. 1921[)], he determined that the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation for the purpose of construction, maintenance and repair of roads + bridges in said Township of So. Grove for the year A. D. 1921 is Six Thousand Dollars, and it is hereby directed that the said amount of money or so much or such part thereof as may be approved by the Co. Board of said DeKalb Co. be (sic) and the same is hereby levied for Road and Bridge taxes against all the taxable property of said Town for the year A. D. 1921.
