Special Hard Road Tax Levy
“I, the undersigned Commissioner of Highways of the town aforesaid, Do (sic) hereby certify that at the annual Town meeting and Election, in pursuance of the petition filed in the office of the Town Clerk of said Town, as required by law, an election was held in the Town aforesaid, on the 5 [5th]day of April A. D. 1921, to authorize a special annual tax to be levied of 66 cents on each one hundred dollars valuation, as assessed for the current year, for a period of 5 years, to wit: 1921, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1925, for the purpose of constructing and maintaining Hard roads, said roads being described as per petitions.” A majority of the ballots cast at said annual Town meeting and Election being for said proposition.
Now, therefore, I, Commissioner of Highways aforesaid, in accordance with said majority vote, do hereby levy a special annual tax of 66 cents on each one hundred dollars valuation, upon all the taxable property of said town, as assessed for the current year, and also for each succeeding year thereafter for the period of 5 years, for the purpose above set forth.”

The meeting was held at the Esmond State Bank.
Those present were W. G. McKenzie, Supervisor, Geo. Barnes, Comm., Frank Barnes, Town Clerk, J. Quinn, Assessor, Wm. Mason, Justice of Peace.
All bills presented were ordered paid.
