Annual Town Meeting and Election                    April 4, 1922

 

Held at the Town hall.  The annual report was read and was accepted by motion made by W. Ashelford and seconded by L. W. Rand.

 

A motion was made by W. H. Ashelford that we levy a tax of One Thousand Dollars for Township expenses for the year 1922.

Moved that we adjourn.

A canvass of the ballotts (sic) showed the following results:

Annual Fall Auditing Meeting                   Sept. 5, 1922

 

The meeting was called to order at the Esmond State Bank.  Those present were W. G. McKenzie, Supervisor.  Frank Barnes, Town Clerk.  Jas. Quinn, Assessor.  Morris Casey, Thistle Comm.  Geo. Barnes, Highway Comm.  W. Mason, Justice of Peace.

 

All bills presented were ordered paid.

 

“The undersigned, Highway Comm. Of the Town of South Grove. Co. + State aforesaid, hereby certifies that at a regular meeting of said Comm. Held on the first Tues. of Sept. in the year A. D. 1922 to wit. On the Fifth day of Sept. A. D. 1922, at the Office of the Town Clerk for the purpose of determining the tax rate for Road + Bridge purposes to be levied by him to the Co. Board as provided by law has determined that the rate of tax necessary to be levied upon all the taxable property of said Town of So. Grove, for said purposes shall be (50) Fifty Cents on each One Hundred Dollars valuation as assessed + equalized for the yr. A. D. 1922.

 

The said Comm. Of Highways, Does hereby further certify.  That at the regular annual meeting held at the office (cont.)
