(cont.)  of the Town Clerk on the 1st Tues. (being the Fifth day) of Sept. A. D. 1922, he determined that the amt. of money necessary to be raised by taxation for the purpose of construction, maintenance and repair of roads + bridges in said Town of S. Grove for the year A. D. 1923 is ($6500.00) Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and it is hereby directed that the said amt. of money, or so much or such part thereof may be approved by the Co. Board of said DeKalb Co. be and the same is hereby levied for road + bridge taxes against all the taxable property of said Town for the year. A. D. 1922”

Annual Auditing Meeting                           Mar. 27, 1923

 

The meeting was called to order at the Town hall.  Those present were:  W. G. McKenzie, Supervisor.  Frank Barnes, Town Clerk.  Jos. Quinn, Assessor.  George Barnes, Highway Comm. and Wm. Mason, Justice of Peace.

 

All bills presented were ordered paid.

 

There being no further business the motion was made and seconded that we adjourn.

Annual Town Meeting and Election                    April 3, 1923

 

At the Election Floyd Welty received twelve votes for School Trustee.

 

The Town Meeting was called to order by L. W. Rand that a tax levy of one Thousand Dollars for Township expenses be levied.  Motion seconed [seconded] by J. G. Hutchinson.

 

Motion made + seconded to adjourn.
