Annual Spring Auditing Meeting, March 25, 1924

 

The meeting was called to order by the Supervisor at the Esmond State Bank.

Those present were Supervisor, W. G. McKenzie, Town Clerk, Frank Barnes, Comm. of Highways, Geo. Barnes, Justice of Peace, W. H. Mason.

All bills presented were ordered paid.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned.

Annual Town Meeting and Election, April 1, 1924

Town meeting called at 2 oclock [o’clock].

Reports were read + accepted.

One Thousand Dollars was levied as Town Tax.

Moved and seconded that we adjourn.

A canvass of the ballots disclosed as follows.

Annual Fall Auditing Meeting, Sept. 2, 1924

 

The meeting was called to order by the Supervisor, W. G. McKenzie at the office of the Town Clerk, Frank Barnes.  Those present were, W. G. McKenzie, Frank Barnes, George Barnes, Comm:  Joe Quinn. Assessor, Wm. Mason, Justice of Peace:  Morris Casey, Thistle Comm.

 

All bills presented were ordered paid.

 

The undersigned Highway of (sic) Commissioner of the Town of South Grove, DeKalb Co. + state aforesaid hereby certifies that at a regular meeting of said Comm. held on the 1st Tues of Sept. in the yr. A. D. 1924, to wit on the 2nd day of Sept. A. D. 1924 at the office of Town Clerk for the purpose of determining the Tax rate for road + bridge purposes to be certified by him to the Co. Board as provided by law, has determined that the rate of tax necessary to be levied upon all the taxable property of said Town of South Grove for the proper construction, maintenance + repair of roads+ bridges, the purchase + repair of machinery, the oiling of roads + the prevention + extirpation of weeds shall be (50) fifty cents on each One Hundred Dollars valuation as assessed equalized for the Year A. D. 1924.  The said Comm. of Highways does hereby further certify that at the regular annual meeting held at the office of the Town Clerk on the 1st Tues. of Sept. A. D. 1924 (continued)
