Dec. 11, 1931 Special Town Meeting for levying Pauper Tax.
A Special Town Meeting was called to order at the Town Hall, Dec. 11, at 2 P. M. for the purpose of levying a Pauper Tax. W. G. McKenzie was appointed to act as chairman.
A motion was made by Fred Goelitz and seconded by Delos Welty to levy a tax for $500.00. Motion carried. $500.00 tax Motionapproved for the relief and support of all poor and indigent persons lawfully resident within said Township in accordance with the provisions of “An act to revise the law in relation to paupers”, approved Mar 23, 1874, as amended. $500.00.

Spring Auditing Meeting, Mar 29, 1932.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor at the Esmond State Bank. Those present were – W. G. McKenzie, Supervisor. Frank Barnes, Town Clerk; F. N. Goelitz, Highway Comm.; Delos Welty, Assessor, and Hans Harrison, Justice of Peace. All bills presented were approved + ordered paid, but as there is no money available to pay them at present, it is necessary to hold them until such money does become available. The Supervisors Financial Statement which was read + approved, showed amount recd. by him as $1758.64. Expenditures $828.22, leaving a balance of $830.42. The Township Treasurer’s Annual Report (Road + Bridge funds) was also read, showing total receipts $8539.78.
Expenditures $8421.32. Balance of $118.46.
After discussion it was voted to deposit all Township moneys at the First Trust + Savings Bank in Sycamore, Ill. Moved + seconded that salary of the Town Officers be reduced by ten percent.
Motion made + seconded to adjourn.
