Annual Town Meeting, April 3, 1934

The annual town meeting was called to order at the Town Hall at 2:00 P. M. by Supervisor Chas McKenzie.

The Supervisors (sic) financial statement was read + accepted.

The Treasurers (sic) annual report was read + approved.

A motion was made by Delos Welty + seconded by F. N. Goelitz that $1250.00 be raised by taxation for the running expenses of this Township, to be used as follows.

Care of paupers $250.00. Fees, salaries and compensation of Township officers $925.00. For printing $40.00, For elections $35.00 Motion carried.

Motion was made by Delos Welty and seconded by Everett Weaver not to have the reports of the Township printed. Motion carried. A motion to adjourn was made by Jas. McKenzie + seconded by Delos Welty. Motion carried.

Fall Auditing Meeting Sept 4, 1934

The meeting was held at the home of the Town Clerk at 8 P. M. The following bills were presented and all was (sic) ordered paid – Chas. McKenzie, Supervisor fee acct. $19.00. Frank Barnes, Town Clerk fee acct. $8.00; L. A. Totman Justice of Peace acct. $3.00; Fred Goelitz, Highway Comm. acct. 40 days work at $4.50 per day $180.00, Delos Welty, Assessor acct. 29 ½ “ “ at $6.00 per day $177.00, Jas. McKenzie, Thistle comm. 20 ½ days work at $4.00 per day $82.00.

Highway Commissioner, F. N. Goelitz certified that the rate of Taxation necessary to be levied against all taxable property, of this Township, for the year A. D. 1934 for construction, maintenance and repair of roads and bridges, the purchase of and repair of machinery and for the prevention + extirpation of weeds shall be 25 cents on each One hundred Dollars valuation as assessed for the current year. Thus making the total amt (sic) necessary $4000.00
