Fall Auditing Meeting Sept. 2, 1941

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P. M. at the Town Hall, by Supervisor, C. G. McKenzie. Other Board Members present were F. H. McQueen, Town Clerk and Delos Welty, Assessor. Bills were presented and paid as follows:

George Jorgenson, Road Commissioner $409.50

Delos Welty, Assessor 250.00

Jos. F. Quinn, Thistle Commissioner 139.50

C. G. McKenzie, Supervisor 28.10

F. H. McQueen, Town Clerk 15.00

Elmer Erickson, Mowing yard 2.50

The Commissioner of Highways of South Grove Township requested the consent in writing of Auditors to levy a greater rate than 25¢ on each $100.00 valuation of the property of said town for road and bridge purposes for the year 1942. After considering said request it was moved by C. G. McKenzie and seconded by Delos Welty that said Board of Auditors consent to said Commissioner levying an additional rate of 8¢ on each $100.00 valuation in addition to 25¢ making a total rate of 33¢ on each $100.00 valuation of the taxable property of the said Town, for road and bridge purposes for the year 1942.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Spring Auditing Meeting March 30, 1942

The meeting was called to order at 7:20 P. M. at the Town Hall, by Supervisor, C. G. McKenzie. Others present were F. H. McQueen, Delos Welty, and George Jorgenson. All bills presented were ordered paid. The proposed budget for the coming year was discussed and approved. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Annual Town Meeting April 7, 1942

The Town Meeting was called to order at the Town Hall at 2:00 P. M. Delos Welty was chosen Moderator. The Supervisor’s report and the Highway Commissioner’s report were each read and approved. The Supervisor’s report showed receipts of $4721.91, disbursements of $2196.93 and net receipts of $2524.98. The Commissioner’s report
