showed receipts of $4809.70; expenditures of $3945.03; balance on hand $864.69. Motion made and seconded that the proposed budget be accepted. Motion made and seconded that the Township Tax be accepted. The necessary amount of tax required was $2300.00. Motion made and seconded that the report not be published in the paper unless it is necessary to abide by the law. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Fall Auditing Meeting Sept. 1, 1942
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P. M. at the Town Hall by C. G. McKenzie, Supervisor. Others present were F. H. McQueen, Town Clerk; Delos Welty, Geo. Jorgenson, and Joseph F. Quinn. All bills presented were ordered paid.
The Commissioner of Highways of South Grove Township requested the consent in writing of Auditors to levy a greater rate than 25¢ on each $100.00 valuation of the property of said Town for road and bridge purposes for the year 1943. After considering said request it was moved and seconded that said Board of Auditors consent to said Commissioner levying an additional rate of 8¢ on each $100.00 valuation in addition to 25¢ making a total rate of 33¢ on each $100.00 valuation of the taxable property of the said Town , for road and bridge purposes for the year 1943.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
