Geo. Jorgensen, Commissioner, requested the consent in writing of the Board of Auditors to levy a greater rate of taxation for Road and Bridge purposes for the year 1948 than .25 percent of the full fair cash value of the property of South Grove, and for the determination of the amount of such greater rate of taxation.
After considering said request it was moved and seconded that the Board of Auditors consent to said Commissioner levying an additional rate of 4¢ in addition to .125 per cent, making a total rate of .165 per cent of the full fair cash value of the taxable property of South Grove for Road and Bridge purposes, for the year 1948, and that amount of such additional tax be $5,000 and that said board execute proper consent in writing for such additional levy as required by law. Motion prevailed by a vote of 3 ayes and 0 noes.
There being no further business, meeting adjourned.

Spring Auditing Meeting March 30, 1948
The meeting was called to order at the Town Hall at 1:30 P. M. Those present were C. G. McKenzie, F. H. McQueen, L. W. Holmes and George Jorgensen.
All bills presented were ordered paid. The proposed budget for the coming year was discussed and approved. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Annual Town Meeting April 6, 1948
A meeting was called at 12:55 for the purpose of selecting a Moderator. George Jorgensen was chosen.
At 1:00 P. M. a meeting was called by the Moderator for a hearing on the proposed budget.
