Spring Auditing Meeting March 29, 1949

The meeting was called to order at the Town Hall at 1:30 P. M. Those present were C. G. McKenzie, L. W. Holmes, and F. H. McQueen. All bills presented were ordered paid. It was decided to pay $5.00 for each auditing meeting instead of $3.00.

The proposed budget for the coming year was discussed and approved. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Annual Town Meeting April 5, 1949

During the forenoon, Walter Beydler was chosen as Moderator. At 1:00 P. M. a meeting was called by the Moderator for a hearing on the proposed budget.

At 2:00 P. M. the Town Meeting was called to order by the Moderator. Motion was made and seconded that the proposed budget be accepted. The Supervisor’s report was read and approved showing receipts of $33451.48; expenditures $1966.10; balance on hand $1485.38. The report of the Highway Commissioner was read and approved showing receipts of $9509.56; expenditures of $8361.15, balance on hand $1148.41. Motion made and seconded that the Town Tax levy be accepted. The necessary amount of the tax was $1900.00.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
