At a town meeting held at the house of Jonathan Adee in the Town of South Grove in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundard [hundred] and fifty one the following names Persons received the number of votes annexed to their respective names for there within named offices to wit.

For Supervisor William M. Byers had thirty one votes

For Town Clerk Stephen S Adee had seventeen votes

For Town Clerk Edward S. Thompson had fourteen votes

For Assessor Charles Mcalister had thirty one votes

For Colector James Byers Sr. had thirty one votes

For Overseer of poor James Byers had thirty two votes

For Commissioner of Highways Matthew Thompson had thirty two votes

For Commissioner of Highways Benjamin Worden had twenty nine votes

For Commissioner of Highways William P Deyoe had twenty eight votes

On Motion Voted That there be twenty Dollars raised to defray Town expenses for the year of one thousand eight hundard [hundred] fifty one

On Motion Voted There be six dollars raised to pay for books

On Motion Voted That William G Adee be Overseer of Highways

On Motion That William M Byers be pond Master Lost

On Motion That Barnabus Hatch be pond Master Lost

On Motion Voted That their be no pond Master selected

On Motion That the Town meeting for 1852 be removed to the school house Lost

On Motion That the Town Meeting for 1852 be removed to the house of James Byers Lost
