Records of the Town of South Grove, Page 9, 1853

The undersigned Commissioners of Highway of the Town of South Grove having met and deliberated on the subject embrased [embraced] in this order. all the Commissioners of highways of said Town having been duly notified to attend the said meeting of the Commissioners to deliberate thereon. Do hereby order that the said Town board it hereby is divided into road districts as follows to wit.

Road District No 1 described as follows

Commencing on State road at the East line of said Township then west on said road to the west line of section ten (10)

Road District No 2 described as follows commencing at the East line of Section nine (9) on said State road thence westerly on said road to the Township line between Range 2 and 3 also the road leading from Wm. P. Deyoes North to the Township line between Towns 41 and 42.

Road District No 3 Described as follows

Commencing at the State Road near Jonathan Adees thence North passing the Thompsons thence passing the Tindalls house thence North to the Town line between Towns 41 and 42. Recorded March the 26 AD 1853.
