Special Meeting

A hearing requesting the vacating of a certain alley in Clare, Ill. was held Dec. 21, 1963 at 1:30 P.M. at the Town Hall.

The matter was discussed and a Motion made by George Tindall and seconded by Emmett Rand to vacate the alley. Mr. Davis and Mrs. Gaswigne both expressed the desire for one-half interest in the alley. Motion was made by J. O. Totman that each interested party should pay $25.00 as hearing expense, seconded by Emmett Rand. It was decided to consult an attorney for further advice.

Fall Auditing Meeting Sept. 1, 1964

The meeting was held at 7:30 P.M. at the Town Hall. All officers and auditors were present. The Board of Auditors approved the Highway Commissioner’s program for the year 1964-65, the amount of tax being $25,120,00.

The Board voted to pay the attorney’s fees in the above mentioned Clare alley matter and then forget it.

After auditing the books and paying the bills presented, the meeting adjourned.

At a special meeting held on January 18, 1965, the Board of Auditors of South Grove Township appointed Mrs. Mary Lou Myers to act as Assessor for one year.
