Spring Auditing Meeting March 30, 1965

The meeting was held at 2:P.M. (sic) at the Town Hall. Supervisor, Clerk, Commissioners and three auditors were present. After considering the budget of the Hiway(sic) Commissioner, it was moved that the Board of Auditors approve same, seconded and carried.

The current bills were paid and the books audited. Meeting adjourned.

Annual town Meeting April 6, 1965

Elmer Erickson was chosen as Moderator and at 1:00 PM said Moderator called a meeting for a hearing on the proposed budget + hiway(sic) budget. At 2:00 P.M. the Town Meeting was called to order. The two budgets were approved. The Hiway(sic) Commissioner’s report was read and approved. The Supervisor’s report was read and approved including the General Assistance reports. The special bridge tax was next approved. The annual Town tax levy was for $5000 and the General Assistance levy was for $2000.

It was moved and carried that the assessor’s salary would be $650.00 annually plus $200.00 for mileage per year. It was moved and seconded to raise the Town Clerk’s salary $50.00 per year, making it $200. It was moved and seconded to raise the Supervisor’s salary $50.00 per year, making it $150.00. These salaries cover all auditing meetings.★

Social Security for Township employees was discussed and motion was made by Emmet Rand to participate in Social Security for Town officials, seconded by George Tindall. All present voted in the affirmative.
