Sp’l [special] Meeting of Highway Comr’s

A spl [special] meeting of Highway Com’rs was held at Town Clerks office for the purpose of fixing on date for joint meeting of Comrs of Towns of Mayfield, So Grove DeKalb & Malta date of which was set for Wednesday Sept 21 – 04 1 pm on the grounds. Town Clerk was authorized to post notices of meeting in the most public places in the township.

Present at meeting Henry Decker N Masterson J JGlawe adjourned to meet again Sept 21 – 04 at 1 p.m. in vicinity of new road south of Clare.

At meeting of Comr’s of So Grove, Mayfield, DeKalb and Malta held at the four corners of the above Towns for the purpose of acting on joint petition for new Road south of Clare in the towns of So Grove, Mayfield, DeKalb, and Malta.

Meeting called to order by Henry Decker. J. J. Glawe appointed chairman, J. A. Dooley Clerk.

Result of Roll Call as follows.

J S. Wilkinson present, W Wike present, J T Masterson present;, H. Decker present, J JGlawe present, W Masterson present, C Vanstone absent, F Fuller absent, Sam Bradt absent, A J Peterson present, John Leatherby absent, Thos. Adams present.

Original petition rec’d by Clerk.

Motion made that a vote be taken for or against opening of said road. Motion made that vote be taken by ballot. Motion made that W H Bryant act as ass’t clerk, which he declined. Motion then made that J. S. Wilkinson act as asst clerk. Result of Ballot.
